بررسی مفهوم «سنت» در اندیشه متفکران مسلمان و نقش آن در ساختن جهان مدرن

جوامع مسلمان در روند نوسازی عصر مدرن با مشکلات عدیده‌ای مواجه می‌شوند که گاه چهره سیاسی یا اقتصادی و گاه چهرۀ اجتماعی به خود می‌گیرند. حجم عظیم این مشکلات، روند توسعه را نه تنها به تاخیر انداخته، بلکه آن را متوقف و چرخه‌هایی از فساد و بحران مشروعیت را به بار می‌آورد. جریانی از متفکران مسلمان معتقدند که عمدۀ این مشکلات، ریشه‌های فرهنگی تمدنی دارند؛ به این معنا که گذشت زمان، ماهیت این مشکلات را تغییر نخواهد داد؛ما همچنان با دشواری‌های فکری درگیر هستیم که مسلمان چند قرن پیش اینگونه بود. درنتیجه، در مورد راه‌حل‌ها نیز، اولویت و اصالت با نظریاتی است که از امکانات درونی فرهنگ برای حل نابسامانی‌ها بهره می‌جویند. این مقاله با استناد به منابع کتابخانه‌ای و روش توصیفی تحلیلی، سعی دارد به این پرسش پاسخ دهد که متفکران مسلمان چگونه از «سنّت» برای پیشبرد توسعه استفاده می‌کنند؟ پاسخ به این پرسش، به‌خصوص به‌کارگیری مفهوم «سنّت» به‌عنوان مفهومی روش‌شناختی، اهمیت فراوان دارد. از نظر این جریان فکری، سنّت همچنان مهم‌ترین ایده‌های راه‌گشایانه را در اختیار ما می‌گذارد؛ ایده‌هایی که به مختصات و جزئیات جوامع مسلمان آشنا هستند و از ساده‌انگاری نظریات غرب‌گرایانه یا شرق‌گرایانه به دورند.

a study of the concept of tradition in the thought of muslim thinkers and its role in the construction of modern world

in the modernization process، muslim societies face many problems that sometimes appear in political form، sometimes in economic form، sometimes in social form. the huge volume of these problems has not only delayed the development process، but even stopped it and caused cycles of corruption and crisis of legitimacy. a group of muslim thinkers believe that most of these problems have cultural-civilizational roots، i.e.، the passage of time will not change the nature of these problems. we are still dealing with the intellectual problems that the muslims faced a few centuries ago. as a result، muslim thinkers prioritize the theories that use the internal possibilities of culture to solve these problems. this article، using library sources and employing descriptive-analytical method، is an attempt to find answer to the following question: how muslim thinkers use tradition for development. according to these thinkers، the tradition still provides us with the most important facilitating ideas; the ideas that are compatible with the characteristics of the muslim communities and are away from the simplifying west-oriented or east-oriented theories.
