چکیده    Due to the complexity and multiplicity of phenomena in combustion instability studies, the study of the instability effects on various existing phenomena is often carried out separately. among them, study of the effects of instability on fuel spraying, liquid film atomization, local heat distribution, and flame shape can be referred. according to the importance of the instability effects on fuel spraying and liquid film atomization, and the possibility of its coupling with combustion chamber oscillations, study of acoustic-spray coupling is one of the interesting phenomena in this area. considering the complexities involved in acoustic-spray studies, experimental studies are preferred. for experimental studies in this area, the acoustic field simulation of the chamber is required. thus, in the present study the development of an acoustic semi-open cavity and experimental study of its acoustic behavior are discussed. the development process of the acoustic cavity, its geometric dimensions, and the efficiency of the cavity in amplifying the initial acoustic levels are presented. in comparison with experimental results, the existing relations to predict sound levels in the cavity show some deviation. the amount of this deviation is reported in the acoustic field.
