چکیده    The main objective of factories and production units is to increase productivity and efficiency in production. to achieve this goal, the focus has been placed on enhancing the power of diesel engines, which has consequently led to a significant reduction in the tolerance of engine parts. given the reduced tolerance of these components, ensuring the availability of high-quality engine oil in the lubrication circuit has become a priority. to meet this need, the oil filtration systems of the machines were improved. although advancements in oil analysis technology have made it possible to access oil with a high level of cleanliness, the entrapment of most wear particles in the oil filters has diminished the ability to analyze oil and predict potential engine failures. engine oil filter debris analysis (fda), which is a highly efficient method alongside oil analysis, can help address this shortcoming and be very effective in predicting potential engine part failures. this paper presents three case studies demonstrating the application of filter analysis in identifying possible failures of two dump trucks an excavator, highlighting the importance of using fda in conjunction with oil analysis.
