Abstract    background and objectives: the effect of reverse learning on the creative thinking of fifth grade male students in the course of experimental science district 4 of education in tehranmethods: this research is from the point of view of gathering because in this research, the researcher could not randomly place the subjects in the study groups therefore, a semi-experimental design was used to find out the effect of the upside-down teaching method on creative thinking, using a pre-test-post-test type with a control group. this design includes two groups that are compared before and after they are exposed to the variable. in this plan, the selection of the subjects from the society and their replacement in the groups is not done randomly, this research was applied research in terms of its purpose. the statistical population in this research included all fifth-grade male students of district 4 of tehran city. the sample of this research included 30 fifth-grade male students of the primary period (15) of the experimental sub-group and 15 of the control group, who were selected by available sampling method. the instrument of data collection in this research was torrance's standard creativity questionnaire (1979). in this research, in order to analyze the data using the descriptive statistics method (prevalence, percentage, mean and standard deviation...) and in inferential statistics, considering that the measurement scale is interval and with the assumption of normality of the data from statistics parametric and considering that the data are continuous, the dependent t-test and analysis of variance (one-way anova) are used .findings: reverse learning improves students' thinking fluency. flipped learning improves the flexibility of students. flipped learning improves the initiative of students' thinking. flipped learning improves the development of students' thinking. and also, reverse learning improves students' creative thinkingconclusion: reverse learning is a type of active learning and leads to fluency in students' thinking with different teaching methods. students actively participate in learning and creating knowledge and continue to test and evaluate their knowledge and generate ideas by presenting solutions and examining possible solutions.
