بررسی ارتباط خطی و غیرخطی بین خودشیفتگی مدیرعامل و فعالیت اجتماعی شرکت‌ با توجه به نقش تعدیلی مالکیت سرمایه‌گذاران نهادی

خصوصیات اخلاقی از جمله خودشیفتگی بر اقدامات مدیران تاثیر وافری دارد. مطالعات نشان می دهد، این احتمال وجود دارد که شدت خودشیفتگی دارای اثرات متفاوتی بر فعالیت اجتماعی شرکت باشد. با توجه به نقش چشم‌‌‌اندازهای سرمایه‌گذاران نهادی در خصوص تصمیمات شرکت، در برخی از مطالعات به تاثیر سرمایه گذاران نهادی بر فعالیت اجتماعی شرکت تاکید شده است. هدف پژوهش حاضر، بررسی ارتباط خطی و غیرخطی بین خودشیفتگی مدیر عامل و فعالیت اجتماعی شرکت‌ با توجه به نقش تعدیلی مالکیت سرمایه گذاران نهادی می باشد. در پژوهش حاضر تعداد 60 شرکت پذیرفته شده در بورس اوراق بهادار تهران در بازه زمانی 7 ساله مورد بررسی قرار گرفت. برای سنجش خودشیفتگی مدیر عامل از برآیند دو معیار (نسبت whr و مساحت امضا) استفاده شده است. برای سنجش فعالیت اجتماعی شرکت‌ از چک لیستی شامل 44 گزینه در شش بعد استفاده شده است. نتایج نشان می دهد که خودشیفتگی مدیرعامل با فعالیت اجتماعی شرکت‌ دارای رابطه خطی منفی می‌باشد و مالکیت سرمایه گذاران نهادی موجب تضعیف این ارتباط منفی می شود. همچنین بین خودشیفتگی مدیرعامل و فعالیت اجتماعی شرکت‌ رابطه غیرخطی معنادار u شکلی وجود دارد و مالکیت سرمایه گذاران نهادی موجب پهن‌تر شدن منحنی شده و تاثیر خودشیفتگی بر فعالیت اجتماعی شرکت را در سطوح مختلف تضعیف می نماید.

the linear and non-linear relationship between ceo narcissism and corporate social activity considering the moderating role of ownership of institutional investors

moral characteristics, including narcissism, have a great impact on managers' actions. studies show that it is possible that the severity of narcissism has different effects on the corporate social activity. considering the role of institutional investors' perspectives regarding the company's decisions, some of studies have emphasized the impact of ownership of institutional investors on corporate social activity. the purpose of this research is to investigate the linear and non-linear relationship between ceo narcissism and corporate social activity with the moderating role of ownership of institutional investors. in the present research, 60 companies admitted to the tehran stock exchange were examined in a period of 7 years. to measure the narcissism of ceo, the results of two criteria (whr ratio and signature area) have been used. to measure corporate social activity, a checklist including 44 options in six dimensions has been used. the results shows that the ceo narcissism has a negative linear relationship with corporate social activity, and the ownership of institutional investors weakens this negative relationship. also, there is a significant u-shaped nonlinear relationship between ceo narcissism and corporate social activity, and the ownership of institutional investors widens the curve and weakens the effect of narcissism on corporate social activity at different levels.
