the philosophy of continuous improvement, rooted in the principles of kaizen, is recognized as one of the key approaches in organizational management to enhance efficiency, product and service quality, and cost reduction. this paper systematically reviews previous studies on the philosophy of continuous improvement and its applications in management. initially, the fundamental principles and concepts of this philosophy are explained, followed by an examination of its applications in various industries and countries. findings from studies indicate that successful implementation of this philosophy requires an open and participatory organizational culture, continuous employee training, and support from senior management. on the other hand, challenges such as resistance to change, lack of financial resources and specialized human capital, and poor coordination between departments can hinder the effective execution of these principles. in another section of the paper, proposed tools and methods for overcoming these challenges are discussed, including the use of new technologies to facilitate processes and improve communication between different departments. finally, the paper provides practical recommendations for organizations to leverage the experiences of previous studies and successful models of continuous improvement implementation to achieve their desired results and enhance their competitive advantage.
