ارزیابی کیفیت فرآیند داوری مجلات علمی حسابداری ایران: از دیدگاه نویسندگان

امروزه بسیاری از مجلات علمی-پژوهشی بدنبال افزایش و بهبود رتبه خود در سطح مجلات ملی و بین‌المللی می‌باشند. در این راستا، یکی از مواردی که بر کیفیت و رتبه‌بندی مجلات تاثیر بسزایی دارد، کیفیت فرایند داوری مقالات مجله می‌باشد. لذا پژوهش توصیفی از نوع پیمایشی حاضر درصدد است تا به ارزیابی کیفیت فرایند داوری در مجلات علمی حسابداری ایران (مورد تایید وزارت عتف) با استفاده از عوامل مرتبط با ارائه بازخورد مناسب داوران و سردبیران (شامل به‌موقع بودن بررسی اولیه و ثانویه مقالات، کیفیت نظرات و رعایت اخلاق داوری، ارائه نظرات واضح، مفید، سازنده، محترمانه، شخصی و منسجم) از دیدگاه 385 نفر نویسنده مسئول مقالات منتشره (طی دوره زمانی 4 ساله از 1397الی 1400) در 17 مجله علمی حسابداری بپردازد. یافته ها بیانگر این است که از نظر پاسخ دهندگان، کیفیت فرایند داوری در مجموع مجلات حسابداری قابل قبول است. براساس نظرات واصله، فرآیند ارزیابی اولیه بین صفر تا 3 ماه و داوری اولیه مقالات حدوداً بین 3 تا 6 ماه و داوری مجدد بین صفر تا 3 ماه طول می کشد. نویسندگان معتقد بودند که داوران، مقاله آنها را به‌خوبی درک کرده اند و بازخوردهای داوران را از نظر واضح بودن ، محترمانه بودن و منسجم بودن به میزان زیاد قابل قبول دانسته اند. اما دو ویژگی مفید بودن و سلیقه‌ای بودن نظرات داوران را تا حدودی قابل قبول دانسته اند. همچنین بسیاری از نویسندگان بر مفید بودن دخالت سردبیر و لزوم یک‌کاسه کردن نظرات داوران توسط سردبیر تاکید داشتند. نتایج این پژوهش برای ارزیابان مجلات وزارت علوم، سردبیران مجلات علمی می تواند مفید واقع شود.

evaluating the quality of the peer review process of iranian accounting journals: authors' perspective

today, many scientific-research journals are seeking to increase and improve their rankings at the national and international level. in this regard, one of the issues that has a significant impact on the quality and ranking of journals is the quality of the peer review process of journal articles. therefore, the present descriptive survey-type study aims to evaluate the quality of the peer review process in iranian accounting journals (approved by the ministry of education and research) using factors related to providing appropriate feedback from referees and editors (including the timeliness of primary and secondary review of articles, quality of comments and adherence to peer review ethics, providing clear, useful, constructive, respectful, personal, and coherent comments) from the perspective of 385 responsible authors of articles published (during the 4-year period from 2018 to 2021) in 17 accounting journals. the findings indicate that, according to the respondents, the quality of the peer review process is acceptable in accounting journals as a whole. based on the comments received, the initial evaluation process takes between zero and 3 months, and the initial review of articles takes approximately between 3 and 6 months, and the re-review takes between zero and 3 months. the authors believed that the reviewers understood their articles well, and the reviewers feedback was largely acceptable in terms of clarity , respect , and coherence . however, it was acceptable in terms of other characteristics of the reviewers feedback (including usefulness and tastefulness ). also, many authors emphasized the usefulness of the editor s intervention and the need for the editor to consolidate the reviewers opinions. the results of this study can be useful for the evaluators of the journals of the ministry of science and the editors of scientific journals.
