ارتباطات خطر (risk communication)، یکی از ارکان کلیدی در مدیریت بحران‌های سلامت عمومی مانند اپیدمی‌ها، بلایای طبیعی و شرایط اضطراری است. تجربه پاندمی کووید-19 نشان داد که نبود ارتباط موثر و شفاف با عموم مردم و گروه‌های در معرض خطر، می‌تواند منجر به سوءتفاهم، اضطراب عمومی، کاهش اعتماد به نظام سلامت، و در نهایت، کاهش اثربخشی مداخلات پیشگیرانه شود. این نامه به سردبیر با هدف برجسته‌سازی اهمیت ارتباطات خطر در ساختار پاسخ سلامت عمومی نگاشته شده و پیشنهاداتی از جمله گنجاندن آموزش ارتباطات بحران در برنامه‌های درسی کارکنان سلامت، ایجاد پلتفرم‌های ارتباطی چندزبانه، و استفاده از فناوری برای تسهیل انتشار پیام‌های معتبر، ارائه می‌دهد. توجه سیاست‌گذاران و پژوهشگران به این حوزه می‌تواند موجب افزایش آمادگی جامعه و کاهش خسارات سلامت و روانی در بحران‌ها شود.

risk communication is a core component of public health emergency response strategies, including epidemics, pandemics, and natural disasters. the covid-19 pandemic revealed critical deficiencies in timely, transparent, and culturally-sensitive communication, which exacerbated public confusion, mistrust, and reduced compliance with health advisories. this letter to the editor highlights the vital role of risk communication in outbreak control and urges its integration into health systems preparedness frameworks. recommendations include incorporating crisis communication training into health curricula, developing multilingual platforms, and leveraging digital technologies for disseminating credible information. greater focus on risk communication can enhance community resilience and reduce health and psychological impacts during emergencies.
