Probabilistic seismic hazard analysis is a technique for estimating the annual rate of exceedance of a specified ground motion at a site due to known and suspected earthquake sources. ground-motion prediction equations are of paramount importance in the assessment of earthquake hazards to engineered structures. in such an approach, the appropriate ground-motion prediction equations assigned usually subjectively based on expert judgment. recently, some statistical objective criteria have been suggested by different researchers to remedy the issue to selecting and weighting the gmpes. in this paper, data envelopment analysis is used for selecting the appropriate prediction equations horizontal response spectra in alborze seismotectonic provinces of iran.
