nano sized zeolite green synthesized as a mycotoxin binder

According to fao, at least 25 percent of the world's food crops are contaminated with mycotoxins. deoxynivalenol (don) is one of the most important trichothecene, and fusarium graminearum isolates are concerned as major agents to produce don. many studies described the deleterious effects of don on animal and human health. in this study, the nano fe3o4/zeolite was prepared using centaurea cyanus extract and its activity assessment as an adsorbent to remove of mycotoxin in grain extract samples. the affecting parameters at the adsorption procedure were investigated in detail and the analytical characteristics of the method were evaluated.
