analysis of drug resistance property of a2780 ovarian cancer cell lines by using of two new schiff base complexes

Two schiff base ligands that are imidazolium salophen chloride (il) and sodium solphonium salophen (sl) were synthesized by the reaction of the related ionic salicylaldehydes and phenylendiamine. after that the complexation of the il ligand with the fecl2 and sl ligand with the zncl2, the schiff base complexes were prepared. the anticancer activity of the synthesized complexes has been tested in vitro against ovarian carcinoma cells (a2780 and a2780cisr) as well as against non-cancerous human cells (hek293) by measuring the ic50 . the results were compared with cisplatin as the reference.
