چکیده    The protective potential of nigella sativa oil, and its major component, thymoquinone, was studied against the adverse effects of tartrazine on the liver enzymes including alanin aminotransferase (alt) and aspartate aminotransferase (ast). molecular docking technique was performed to investigate the probable interactions. the values of enthalpy change, entropy change and gibbs free energy change indicated that the binding was spontaneous and driven mainly by hydrophobic interactions. there wass no evidence for the interaction of tartrazine with the enzymes in the presence of thymoquinone.
