چکیده
|
Due to indole structure ubiquity in nature and its broad application in chemistry, indole derivatives are valuable heterocycles. owing to the great structural diversity of biologically active indoles, it is not surprising that the indole ring system has become an important structural component in many pharmaceutical agents. numerous methods have been developed for the synthesis of indole derivatives and more efficient straightforward synthetic strategies still continue to be pursued. in this review, an overview of the synthesis of indoles through metal catalyzed reactions was provided. a comparative account of various reaction pathways like one-pot synthesis (multicomponent reaction) and the multistep reaction of indoles are discussed.
