|
The performance of a dye-sensitized solar cell (dssc) is influenced by several key factors that govern its operation, making it essential to understand and optimize these elements for improved efficiency. among these factors, the photoanode stands out as the most critical component, as it is responsible for light absorption and the subsequent generation of charge carriers. the performance of the photoanode is determined by a variety of important parameters, including electron lifetime, diffusion coefficient, and porosity. optimizing these parameters is essential to achieving optimal cell performance. however, the experimental optimization of these parameters can often be both costly and time-consuming. to address this challenge, the current research presents a model designed to optimize these parameters with the aim of maximizing cell efficiency based on the nonlinear recombination model and the drift-diffusion model. the findings indicate that when the porosity value is maintained within the range of 0.3 to 0.4, the efficiency of the solar cell can exceed 8.5%.
