does camel milk affect diabetics? a review

Diabetes mellitus prevalence is rising dramatically worldwide. this can be related to the people’s life style and diet in a large extent. scientists are seeking to introduce natural food as alternative routes to invasive insulin delivery. therefore, camel milk as a natural substance has been recognized as an alternative to medicine and injection for diabetics. this paper aimed to review some studies carried out to investigate the effect of the camel milk to control type 1and type 2 diabetes mellitus in animals and human beings. as the result of the studies revealed, camel milk with its high amount of digestion resistant insulin could be considered as a beneficial natural substance which has a positive impact in improving the glycemic control, curing type 2 diabetics, and reducing the doses of insulin in type 1diabetics. however, more valid and systematic studies are required to support these findings.
