چکیده    Dealing with the seismic risk assessment of infrastructure systems needs a seismic hazard assessment that incorporates the spatial correlation and cross-correlation of earthquake intensity measures. several spatial correlation models have been proposed by researchers, but the majority of existing models are based on the hypothesis of isotropy. recent investigations have shown that the assumption of isotropy is not generally valid. however, it is necessary to investigate the significance of the inclusion of anisotropy in seismic risk assessment of infrastructure systems. this study’s major goal is to use three different spatial correlation models to address this problem. the results of the current study reveal that the ignorance of anisotropy causes unrealistic loss estimation. specifically, it is shown that the isotropic models overestimate the rare loss values but underestimate the frequent loss values.
