در طول تاریخ، جهان تمدن های گوناگونی به خود دیده که تنها تمدن دینی آن تمدن اسلامی است. این تمدن با در نظر گرفتن تمام قابلیت های لازم و ضروری خود و تمام ارکانی که دارد، حد و حدودی برای حجاب و پوشش قرار داده است. این حدود در کتاب مقدس اسلام یعنی قرآن به وضوح چه برای مردان و چه برای زنان ذکر شده است. بانوان نیمی از جامعه ما هستند و تاثیر بسزایی در جامعه ما دارند. با پیشرفت تکنولوژی و رفتن به سمت جوامع مدرن می رفت تا تمدن اسلامی نیز درگیر الگوهای پوششی و حجابی جدیدی که از سوی جوامع شرقی و غربی ارئه می شد بروند و الگوهای حجابی و پوششی خود را کنار بگذارند. اما ایجاد الگوی سوم سبب شد تا بانوان جامعه و تمدن اسلامی درگیر این الگوها شرقی و غربی نشوند و با شعار نه شرقی و نه غربی طبق دستورات دینی خود حجاب و پوشش خود را ادامه دهند و درگیر مدهای بی جای شرقی و غربی نشوند.
