چکیده    The present work is mainly focused on optimizaiton of wear performnace of modified za − 27 alloy under dry sliding conditions. the experiments were conducted with wear parameters such as normal load, sliding speed and sliding distance according to l16(4∧2 2∧1) orthogonal array (mixed design). wear tests were performed by using pin-on-disc wear testing machine. results reveal that the optimum conditions for minimum wear loss is the combination of normal load with 9.81n, sliding speed with 2.0m/s and sliding distance is 2500 m. the performance of anova for the contributions of normal pressure, sliding speed and sliding distance were %81.48, %6.01 and %0.07, respectively. normal load has significant influence on wear loss of modified za − 27 alloy
