چکیده    Variation of high molecular weight glutenin subunits (hmw-gs) at the glu-a1, glu-b1, and glu-d1 loci was studied using sds-page electrophorese in 11 genotypes and six cultivars (pishgam, chinese spring, darab, kavir, parsi, and mihan as a control. this study aimed to investigate the relationship between glutenin subunits and take-all disease. genotypes vru-912, vru-60, vru-765, vru-1464, vru-1801, vru-766, and vru-1382 showed quality scores equal to 10 and 9, whereas vru-468, vru-2068, and vru-1626 showed quality scores equal to 5 and 6. to show the relationship between disease response and genetic diversity of genotypes derived from high molecular weight glutenin subunit, the association between the bilateral grouping of individuals based on two criteria (genetic diversity in cluster analysis (two groups) and disease response (two groups)), a simple corresponding analysis was conducted using contingency table and chi-square test. the results showed that the p-value of the table is less than p < 0.05, the null hypothesis is rejected, and the accepted alternate hypothesis. so there is a significant relationship at the level of 0.05 between these two groups, and they aren’t independent. therefore, glutenin subunits in cluster analysis are most likely related to the disease response of genotypes and explain the most variability in disease incidence. genotypes with lower disease severity have null, 7+8, and 2+12. resistant genotypes vru-766 and vru-60 with scores of 10 and 9 and subunit 5+10 can be used as candidate genotypes in wheat breeding programs for resistance to take-all disease. the results obtained in this study are useful in breeding programs to improve bread-making quality, develop uniformity and improve heterogeneous cultivars through the selection of the best genotypes. probably resistance to take-all disease has linkage to the 2+12 and 7+8 alleles, which requires further study.
