چکیده    In this work, the effect of red led light (620-645 nm) and blue led light (460-475 nm) on the growth pattern and beta-carotene production through dunaliella salina cells were investigated. microalgae cells were cultivated under 200 µmole m-2 s-1 light intensity of blue and red lights for about 30 days. the results revealed that the microalgae cells under red light had a better growth pattern and higher beta-carotene accumulation (10.63 µg beta-carotene per mg-1 of cell dry weight) compared to the blue light (5.92 µg mg-1). besides, the growth procedure for both of the colored light samples were the same until the middle of the cultivation period, but red light spectra had better performance compared to its counterpart during the second section of the cultivation period.
