the moderating role of body image concern in the relationship between the use of visual media and internalizing of pathological symptoms in adolescent girls and boys

Aim was to investigate the moderating role of body image anxiety in the relationship between the use of visual media and internalizing of symptoms in adolescents. descriptive-correlational design method and multi-stage sampling method of 300 adolescent girls and boys who used instagram social pages were selected from 14-16 year. collection tools included littleton (2005) fear of body image, goodman adolescent strengths & weaknesses (1997), researcher-made questionnaire on visual media use. data were analyzed by spss software version 22. results showed that body image anxiety has a moderating effect on the relation between visual media and internalization of pathological symptoms.
