چکیده    The need for remote health care and the increased interest in fitness and wellness demands ‎more affordable, precise, and reliable wearable health monitoring systems. having direct ‎proportionality to the heart’s pumping, the heart rate could be measured using ‎photoplethysmography (ppg). in this study, a low-cost, arduino-based heart rate monitoring ‎system acquiring reflectance ppg was developed to record and process ppg signals. the ‎technique uses an optical transceiver and feeds the picked up noise-contaminated raw signal ‎to a conditioning circuitry, which provides a denoised signal in its output. then, after ‎digitization, the signal normalized and processed to detect the heart rate. the real-time ‎monitoring and alert notification upon complications were made possible through a custom-‎designed mobile application.‎
