   light-sheet fluorescence microscopy with scanning nano-diffracting beams

چکیده    Light-sheet fluorescence microscopy (lsfm) has now become a unique and powerful tool in different fields such a 3d tissue imaging, developmental biology and real-time imaging of neuronal activities. nevertheless, obtaining high-quality artifact-free images from large, dense and inhomogeneous samples is the main challenge of the method that still needs to be adequately addressed. we have shown that using scanning non-diffracting beams significantly reduces the artifacts in lsfm images. in this talk, after an introduction to light-sheet fluorescence microscopy and non-diffracting laser beams, the principle of our approach and examples of 3d tomographic imaging of various large and dense biological samples, such as cancer tumor-spheroids will be presented.
