the investigation of la(iii)ions-doping effect on band gap of bifeo3 perovskite

In the last few years, perovskite have received researchers’ attention due to their applications in photovoltaic and photo- catalysis. these materials are semiconductor and it is one of the most important properties of them.in this research, we synthesized bismuth ferrite (bifeo3) perovskite by co- precipitation method and doped la (iii) to investigate any changes in band gap energy. prepared structures were characterized by ir spectroscopy, x-ray powder diffraction (xrd), energy dispersive x-ray spectroscopy (edax). the band gap energies, homo and lumo levels of synthesized compounds were calculated by using uv-vis spectroscopy and cyclic voltammetry (cv).
