Hydroxycarbamide or hydroxyurea is ahydroxylated molecule of urea which hasbeen widely used for decades to treat manyneoplastic diseases. in this study, thezwitterion formation of hydroxycarbamidein the gas and solution phases isinvestigated. the conversion ofhydroxycarbamide to its zwitterion form isas follows:
