هوش مصنوعی کاربردهای فراوانی برای حسابداران دارد که از آن جمله می‌توان به بهبود اثربخشی و کارایی حسابداران و ارزشمندتر شدن آنان برای تجارت اشاره کرد. این سیستم عملکردهای اصلی را که در حال حاضر توسط انسان انجام می‌شود، به طور محسوس در اختیار می‌گیرد و به این ترتیب با صرفه‌جویی در هزینه‌ها و کارایی عملیاتی، مسیر را برای اصلاحات ساختارشکنانه هموار می‌کند. هوش مصنوعی به تازگی در حرفۀ حسابداری، یعنی حرفه‌ای پیشرفت چشمگیری داشته است که تمرکز خود را از ورود کاغذ و مداد به رایانه تغییر داده است. اما نگران‌کننده‌ترین جنبۀ هوش مصنوعی این است که حسابداران شتابزده به این نتیجه می‌رسند که زوایای مختلف آن را درک می‌کنند. تاثیر هوش مصنوعی بر عملکرد عملیات حسابداری در این مقاله بررسی می‌شود. روش پژوهش در این بررسی، توصیفی و روش جمع‌آوری اطلاعات، کتابخانه‌ای است. در این مقاله بیان می‌شود که استفاده از هوش مصنوعی بر عملکرد رویه‌های حسابداری اثر می‌گذارد. در واقع حسابداران باید رفتار ماهرانۀ خود را به طور وسیعی در ذات هوش مصنوعی توسعه دهند، به متخصصانی همه‌جانبه تبدیل شوند و از این طریق هزینه‌های حسابداری را کاهش دهند. اگر متخصصان حسابداری، متخصصان حسابرسی و کارشناسان هوش مصنوعی برای تضمین تداوم حرفۀ حسابداری با یکدیگر همکاری نکنند، استفاده از هوش مصنوعی در حسابداری اثربخشی نخواهد داشت.
