چکیده    Writing is the process of communicating thoughts and ideas in a clear and readable way using symbols such as letters, punctuation, and spaces. so, writing is a physical and mental activity (nunan, 2003). it is significant to study writing not only as a product of an individual, but also as a cognitive, social, and cultural behaviour. the present research considered the significant effects of peer-monitoring in writing activities for undergraduate students of tefl writing skills. in this research, we were supposed to investigate peer-monitoring effects on 173 male and female university students’ writing activities whose ages ranged from 18 to 27, and they had a composing description writing paragraph as pre & post-test in the same conditions.
