a study of the adequacy and effectiveness of persian translations of drug leaflets according to house model

According to the importance of the adequacy and effectiveness of persian translation of the drug leaflets, we can achieve some information by translating some drugs’ brochures and leaflets which have been produced by some iranian medical companies and make a good comparison between the source language and target language and also to study the medical terms in sl to see the translatability and untranslatability of these terminologies. the crucial point in this research is that we are going to analyze how important translated leaflets are for patients and/or physicians. we focus on the covert and overt translation for drug leaflets enabling patients to understand the leaflets much better. furthermore, we attempt to show the translatability/ untranslatability of the leaflets. results coming from the questionnaire filled by 42 patients & physicians, it is vital to receive the drug brochures from the drug stores. the patients can become more familiar with the usage; side effects ،they can consult their physicians if any problems take place. outcomes of interviews done with 42 patients, they can obtain enough information about the drugs by reading the leaflets. they claimed that the side effects of the drugs cannot cause much anxiety in them; they can talk with the physician whenever a difficulty occurs. translating the texts of the drug leaflets is a necessary task but for some reason, neglected by the pharmaceutical companies.
