rheological properties and miscibility studies of blown films made from recycled ldpe/lldpe films

Blown films of ldpe and lldpe were prepared and recycled mechanically to be made into blown films along with virgin ldpe and lldpe with varying recycled material compositions. the melt flow index (mfi), rheological and thermal tests were performed to assess the changes in the microstructure and miscibility of the components. the mfi results showed crosslinking for ldpe chains. han curves showed miscibility and a single-phase behavior of the components in the melt state, while dsc graphs displayed phase separation between virgin ldpe and lldpe.
