   preparation of bone tissue scaffold with improved biocompatibility, comprising of pcl and pvdf nanofibers via electrospinning process

چکیده    Biomimetic functional scaffolds for tissue engineering should meet specific structural, biochemical and electro-mechanical requirements, depending on the tissue that they are designed to resemble. hence, in current work, in order to achieve a biocompatible scaffold for bone tissue engineering, with desired mechanical and piezoelectric properties, a hybrid nanofibrous scaffold composed of pcl/pvdf was prepared using electrospinning. the optimal parameters for the fabrication of nanofibrous mat were found to be: 0.1 ml/h, 21kv, 18cm. morphological characterization was done using sem and the results revealed fine nanofibers without any beads with an average fiber size diameter of 140 nm. after morphological characterization, the in vitro biocompatibility of scaffolds was investigated by culturing human mesenchymal stem cells (hmscs). mtt assay results and sem images of the cells grown on scaffolds confirmed improved biocompatibility with potential of the scaffolds for usage in tissue engineering.
