Tissue engineering (te) is the science of combining engineering and biological approaches to fabricate bioartificial organs to replace injured tissues. scaffold is one of the main parts of this science. high porosity and interconnectivity of 3d scaffolds are crucial due to enhanced support of cell diffusion and nutrient transfer. the polymers used to fabricate scaffolds should be biocompatible and biodegradable. in this study, hybrid pcl/collagen (col) was fabricated for the first time with salt leaching, molding and lyophilization, and was crosslinked with edc/nhs. for characterization of scaffolds, analyses of degradation, swelling, porosity, degree of crosslinking (dc), morphology and ftir spectra were evaluated. results show that more than 90% of porosity was obtained along with interconnectivity and dc of 72%.
