چکیده    In this study, the composite of spherical aluminum (al) microparticles in polypropylene (pp) matrix was investigated as a thermal radiation barrier. the optimal diameter and concentration of al particles to obtain the minimum transmittance in the mid-infrared regime were determined by simulation. then, pp/al films were prepared through hot pressing and transmittance was measured by ftir. according to the results, the transmittance is almost zero (0.0005) when the pp matrix contains 20% al particles with a 2 μm diameter. dsc and mfi results confirmed that the changes in thermal properties and mfi is negligible compared to the neat pp sample.
