the effect of pre-impregnated tape width on printability and shear properties of continuous fiber-reinforced composites

In this study, carbon fiber-reinforced acrylonitrile butadiene styrene (abs/carbon) composites were fabricated using pre-impregnated tape. the printability of pre-impregnated tapes with different widths was investigated, and the results showed that the tape width significantly affects the appearance and printability of the composites. then, the interlaminar shear strength (ilss) of the printed composites with optimum printing quality were evaluated. the results showed that the use of prepreg tapes increased the composites ilss compared to the neat abs sample.
