Nanosilica is typical in the rubber matrix to mass-produce green tires nowadays. the spent lead-acid battery separators contain approximately 60 wt.% of silica; therefore, pe-separators can be used as a resource of recycled nanosilica for tire production. the main goal of this study is to utilize the recycled nanosilica from the pe-separator in nr/sbr nanocomposites to develop tire production. the samples containing 0, 20, 30, 40, and 50 phr recycled nanosilica and 30 phr carbon black hybrid filler were prepared and their rheological and mechanical properties were studied. the results confirmed that the cure time was slightly increased by increasement the loading of recycled nanosilica. the wear resistance was slightly increased for samples containing 20 and 30 phr of recycled nanosilica. therefore, this type of nansilica (i.e., recycled type) can be used in tire production as a green product.
