   novel poly(amide-urethane)s for high thermal stability applications

چکیده    The aim of the present study was to design and synthesis a novel monomer to produce polyurethanes with improved thermal stability as well as good solubility. two new diphenols containing amide units were prepared and characterized. afterward, the synthesized diols were reacted with hexamethylene diisocyanate and isophorone diisocyanate to attain four novel poly(urethane-amide)s. physical properties of the prepared polymers like thermal characteristics, molecular weight, solubility, and viscosity together with their structure-property relationship were evaluated. the obtained results showed improved thermal stability of the synthesized poly(amide-urethane)s compared to other common polyurethanes. presence of aliphatic groups from another side, improved their solubility as well. these new features showed the potential of these polymers for applications in various urethane industries.
