In this paper, polyurethane nanocomposites were fabricated using 2 wt.% mwcnt-cooh and 2 wt.% nano clay closite 5a by solution casting method. microstructure, morphology, and mechanical properties of nanocomposites were investigated. mechanical tests showed that the addition of the functionalized mwnt and clay 5a significantly improved the tensile properties of the tpu matrix without sacrificing the elongation at break. it was observed that mwcnt-cooh nanoparticles are more effective than clay 5a in enhancing the mechanical properties.
