|
Here, we develop a facile and sustainable method using naturally reproducible chamomile extracted polyphenol nanoparticle (cepn) through oxidative coupling reaction by cuso4·5h2o in water followed by self-assembly of prepared polyphenolic oligomers/polymers. the fesem images revealed the cepns have almost spherical morphology with size of 100-150 nm. besides other characterizations, the thermogravimetric analysis (tga) approved the formed polymeric nature of polyphenols from their molecularly nature. the tga results showed higher thermal stability (up to 240 °c) for cepns in comparison with the molecular form of polyphenols which degrade at lower temperatures (around 120 °c). due to the porous structure and existed plenty of functional groups on the cepns, they are targeted to load cancer drug (doxorubicin hydrochloride) and investigate its drug release behavior at different acidic and neutral phs as well as in the presence of glutathione, a reductant agents that existed in the cancerous cells in high amount in comparison with normal cells.
