synthesis of polymer-clay composite with application for hydrofinishing reactions

An efficient protocol for hydrofinishing of polyalphaolefins (pao) is developed by applying a novel catalyst under mild condition (at temperature of 130 ºc, catalyst loading of 5 wt.% and hydrogen pressure of 6 bar). hydrofinishing led to the saturated pao in 94% yield. furthermore, the catalyst was recycled up to four runs with insignificant decrement of the catalytic activity and pd leaching.
