   removal of basic violet-16 cationic dye from aqueous solution by novel nanocomposite hydrogel containig of halloysite nanoclay

چکیده    In this study, carboxymethyl cellulose/polyacrylamide/halloysite nanocomposite hydrogel was produced by the free-radical polymerization and it was used to remove basic violet-16 cationic dye from an aqueous solution. the sem results show that halloysite nanoclays were successfully distributed in the hydrogel system. the adsorption behavior of the hydrogel was discussed in terms of contact time and ph. the hydrogel shows excellent removal efficiency (91.15%) for basic violet-16 dye under operating conditions of initial dye concentration =10 mg/l, contact time = 180 min, ph = 12 and temperature = 25◦c.
