   synergistic effect of cellulose nanofibers lamina and clay nanoparticles on mechanical properties of epoxy resin

چکیده    A laminated epoxy composite was fabricated with cellulose nanofibers plys and different weight percentages (0.5- 3wt.% )of organoclay platelets (30b) using a hand lay-up method. in the current study, cellulose nanofibers ply were prepared by vacuum filtration. the fracture surface of the epoxy nanocomposite was analyzed using fe-sem images. the xrd patterns were used to study the distribution of clay nanoparticles in epoxy resin. in addition, the mechanical properties of the laminated epoxy composites were compared with those of pure epoxy by conducting tensile and impact tests. the results of the tensile tests showed that the tensile strength, elongation and modulus of the laminated epoxy nanocomposites were significantly increased.
