|
Lithium-ion batteries (libs) have been used widely in electric devices such as gadgets and electric vehicles. poly(vinylidene difluoride-co-hexafluoropropylene) (pvdf-hfp) porous membranes with honeycomb-like morphology architectures have been developed to be utilized as gel polymer electrolytes (gpes) in libs. the porosity of the polymer electrolyte membrane was about 40%, so as a result, the amount of electrolyte uptake was as high as 270%. the cell assembled with pvdf-hfp gpe and limn2o4 (lmo) cathode, demonstrated high cyclic stability and rate performances. the battery exhibited an outstanding discharge capacity of 128 mah/g at 0.1c. this study illustrated that pvdf-hfp gpe has enough potential to be used in real lib applications thanks to its high performance and low-liquid leakage.
