چکیده    Abstract protection against electromagnetic radiation is a very important problem. in this research,  designed polymer- concrete with high attenuation properties containing barium sulfate radiation-absorbing aggregates is simulated. the mass attenuation coefficients of the polymeric panel, as shielding materials are calculated at 60 and 120 kev by using the mcnp (monte carlo n particle) code. the simulated mass attenuation coefficients (µm,theo) decreased with energy. also, modeled geometry can be used for future approaches such as new designs and structures, especially in investigating new materials to build nuclear reactors or high-energy radiation therapy facilities. keywords: monte carlo simulation, polymer concrete, x-ray shielding, mcnp.
