چکیده    Polymers are applied extensively in biomedical applications. chitosan is structurally similar to natural glycosaminoglycan (gag), but its poor solubility in water has restricted its application in biological objectives. however, chemical modification can be feasible due to the reactive functional groups in the chitosan backbone. in this study, the amphiphilic carboxymethylhexanoyl chitosan (chc) was synthesized by introducing the hydroxyl groups along the hydrophilic derivative of chitosan (carboxymethyl chitosan) in order to enhance the amphiphilic characteristic of polymer in an aqueous medium. the degree of substitution of chc exceeded %9.6
