چکیده
|
Janus particles based on polystyrene and poly(lactic acid) are fabricated by solvent evaporation from an oil in water emulsion. a dispersion of janus particles in sds aqueous solution is made by phase separation of ps and pla upon evaporation of toluene. the role of different compositions of the polymer blend on the morphology of the particles shows formation of core-shell morphology in 1-1 blend composition which evolves to janus structure by increasing the ps/pla weight ratio to 3-1. the observed janus morphology is raspberry morphology. the results from sem micrographs is compared with theoretical model predictions to check their validity.
