چکیده

Artificial intelligence (ai) is a field of computer engineering used for different applications aiming to make intelligent systems. ai works and responds like humans, intelligently and independently through learning from experience and adjusting to new participations. ai technology has truly stimulated the development and deployment of autonomous vehicles (av) in the transportation industry. fueled by data from various sensing devices and advanced computing resources, ai has become an essential component of av for perceiving the surrounding environment and making the appropriate decision in motion. to achieve the goal of full automation (self-driving), it is important to know how ai works in av systems. although there has been remarkable progress in this domain, much needs to be accomplished. the adoption of av technology has multiple benefits. autonomous car companies have spent a large number of resources on the development of av technology, intending to fully commercialize the technology. several issues cause hindrances to the achievement of this goal. these issues comprise technical, non-technical, and legal challenges. the future of technology is assuring and ambitious, however, the challenges must be overcome.
