میرزا فتحعلی آخوندزاده یکی از شخصیت های مهم و تاثیرگذار در حیات دینی-اجتماعی ایران معاصر به شمار می رود. او فعالیت-های فرهنگی خود را با نوشتن نمایشنامه و انتقاد از وضعیت مذهبی-اجتماعی جامعه ای که در آن زندگی می کرد آغاز کرد و گفت که این امر شبیه پروتستانیسم است. علاوه بر این به نقد دین و مسائل مربوط به آن نیز به صورت نظری پرداخت. این مقاله تلاشی است برای بررسی ویژگی‌های اساسی نظام فکری و نگاهی جامع به زندگی او و نیز رویدادهایی که بر اندیشه های او تاثیر گذاشته است، ارائه شده است.

mirza fethali akhundzadeh is considered one of the important and influential figures in the religious and social life of contemporary iran. he started his cultural activities by writing plays and criticizing the social-religious situation of the society in which he lived and said that it was similar to protestantism. in addition, he criticized religion and related issues in a theoretical way. this article is an attempt to examine the basic features of his intellectual system and a comprehensive look at his life and the events that influenced his thoughts are presented.
