بررسی و تحلیل جنگ‌افزار و کاربرد آن در نبرد رستم و اشکبوس

نبرد رستم و اشکبوس، یکی از داستان‌های تاثیرگذار و حماسی شاهنامه است که در آن، جنگ‌افزارهای متنوعی به کار گرفته شده است. با پیشرفت تکنولوژی و توسعه‌ی جوامع، صحنه‌ی نبرد، پوشش جنگجویان و ابزارهای مورد استفاده‌ی آنان نیز، تغییرات فراوانی کرد؛ به‌طوری‌که انسان امروزی، حتی در تشخیص و شناخت برخی از ابزار، با مشکل مواجه می‌شود؛ بنابراین، شناخت جنگ‌افزارها از نظر نوع، کارکرد و موارد استفاده، می‌تواند کمک بسیاری به فهم صحنه‌ی نبرد و موقعیت مبارز و در نهایت، درک درست از معنای اشعار، به ویژه در شاهنامه کند. در داستان نبرد رستم و اشکبوس، جنگ‌افزارها، از نظر نوع و کاربرد، به چهاردسته‌ی گوناگون تقسیم می‌شوند؛ دسته‌ای همانند تیر و تیغ و کمان، ویژه‌ی نبرد و آسیب رساندن به دشمن هستند، دسته‌ای چون ببربیان، جوشن و خفتان و ...، تن پوش رزمند و پهلوان را از گزند دشمن، حفظ می‌کنند و دسته سوم، ابزارهای موسیقایی چون بوق و کوس و امثالهم هستند که نقش تهییجی یا آگاهی‌دهنده دارند و در آخرین دسته، دسته‌ای چون عنان و برگستوان و ...، ویژه‌ی اسب جنگجویانند، جای می‌گیرند. با بررسی جنگ‌افزارهای مورد استفاده در این نبرد، تیر و کمان، بیشترین بسامد را دارند؛ زیرا رستم پیاده به جنگ پهلوان تورانی آمده است و وی را فقط با دو تیری که از کمان رها می‌کند، از بین می‌برد.
