تغییرات در توسعه‌ انسانی و موفّقیت در فوتبال، مورد مطالعه: جام ‌های جهانی فوتبال مردان و زنان در دوره 2010 تا 2019

مقدّمه و هدف: موفّقیت در مسابقات جام جهانی فوتبال برای کشورهای مختلف بسیار مهم است چرا که با موفّقیت در آن می‌توانند از کارکردهای فوتبال جهت تامین منافع‌شان استفاده کنند. این امر متاثّر از گستره‌ای از عوامل اجتماعی-اقتصادی در سطح کلان است. یک عامل مهم، توسعه‌ انسانی است، امّا نتایج پژوهش‌ها در این زمینه، متناقض هستند. پژوهش حاضر با استفاده از جایگاه نهایی کشورها در جام‌‌های جهانی فوتبال مردان و زنان، به عنوان شاخص موفّقیت در فوتبال، به بررسی رابطه‌ شاخص توسعه‌ انسانی و موفّقیت در فوتبال پرداخته است. روش‌ و داده‌ها: پژوهش از نوع کمّی و در سطح کلان است که طی آن رابطه جایگاه تیم‌ها در جام‌های جهانی فوتبال زنان ‌(2019، 2015، 2011) و مردان (2018، 2014، 2010) و نیز رتبه‌ توسعه انسانی کشورها در سال‌های مذکور با استفاده از تحلیل رگرسیون خطّی، مورد بررسی قرار گرفت. یافته‌ها: یافته‌ها نشان دادند در جام‌های جهانی فوتبال مردان، رابطه‌ معناداری بین شاخص توسعه‌ انسانی و موفّقیت فوتبال وجود ندارد، امّا در جام‌های جهانی فوتبال زنان، این رابطه معنادار است. بحث و نتیجه‌گیری: پژوهش حاضر به روشنی نشان می‌دهد شاخص توسعه‌ انسانی از سال 2015 به این سو باعث موفّقیت در فوتبال در جام‌های جهانی زنان شده است؛ البتّه در این زمینه ملاحظاتی نیز وجود دارد که در انتها به آنها اشاره شده است. 

changes in the human development index and football success: evidence from the men’s and women’s fifa world cups during 2010-2019

background and aim: football success is extremely significant for different countries to use diverse functions of football to provide their interests. football success is impacted by a wide variety of large-scale socio-economic factors. human development index is an important factor in this line but the results of earlier studies are inconsistent. data and method: this research has made use of the final standing of teams in the men’s and women’s fifa world cups, as a measure for football success, to examine its relationship with the hdi. findings: the results showed that there is no significant relationship between the hdi and football success in the men’s fifa world cups but in the women’s part, this relationship is positively significant. conclusion: the present study concludes that the hdi has increased the football success in the women’s world cups especially since 2015. in this regard, some considerations should be regarded that have presented in the end. key message: success in sport is influenced by a wide range of macro socio-economic factors. this study indicates that the hdi significantly influences on the women’s football success but doesn’t have any significant relationship with the men’s football success, at least during the period that has been considere in this research.
