Background & objective: predicting ovarian response using patient features and biomarkers is crucial for optimizing and individualizing controlled ovarian hyperstimulation (coh) for in vitro fertilization (ivf). member of the transforming growth factor- superfamily; also known as antimüllerian hormone (amh) or müllerian inhibitory substance. the research examines the relationship between antimüllerian hormone and polycystic ovarian syndrome (pcos) and in vitro fertilization cycles with fresh embryo transfer. materials & methods: cross-sectional study of 55 infertile females with pcos undergoing in vitro fertilization cycles in baghdad and al-najaf infertility centers from june 2022 to june 2023. all female data are: age groups (years), amh level ng/ml, infertility period (years), male variables, outcome (pregnancy test), and infertility causes. results: in vitro fertilization cycles in 55 infertile women with pcos. mean age of females (30 ± 6 years), 78.2% less than 35 years old, 38.2% fertility period 2–5 years, 30.9% male infertility, 29.1% pregnancy, 72.7% amh 2025-5.71 ng/ml. 80% of women have no infertility issues, 7.27% have tubal obstruction, 3.64% have had cesarean section (cs), etc. 100% of females under 35 have amh (2.25-5.71 ng/ml). amh does not significantly affect (infertility period, outcome, and protocol used). conclusion: the study highlights amh as an indicator of ovarian reserve decline in females aged ≥ 35 years, while emphasizing the multifaceted determinants of infertility and ivf success.
