ارتباط صنعت با دانشگاه پدیده ای جدید و نو نیست. حتی اگر سازوکارهای آن قدمتی جدید داشته باشد؛ اما عمق این ارتباط به تاسیس اولین دانشگاه دنیا بر می گردد، زمانی که از افراد تازه فارغ التحصیل انتظار می رفت تا بتوانند نقش موثری بر صنعت و جامعه خود داشته باشند. این مقاله به آسیب شناسی ارتباط صنعت با دانشگاه ها پرداخته است، تا بررسی کند علی رغم تلاش های افراد شاغل در این بخش و عملکرد خوبی که در بعضی دانشگاه ها شاهد هستیم، علل ضعف کلی این بخش تحت تاثیر عوامل مختلفی قرار می گیرد که درصورت اصلاح و بهبود می توانند نقش بسیار مهمی در بهبود وضعیت هم دانشگاه و هم صنعت و هم جامعه داشته باشند، روش تحقیق در این مطالعه کیفی و جمع آوری اطلاعات کتابخانه ای است.
